Haworthias are dainty succulent houseplants and are frequently compared and confused with Aloes, and Gasteria plants. However, unlike Aloes, Haworthias are almost always small and very slow growing plants.
Haworthia Limifolia Tiger is a robust plant, with larger rosettes and broadly triangular leaves arranged in a pin wheel-like rosette. Unlike Haworthia Limifolia it has white pigment in leaves. Haworthia Limifolia Tiger got its name from the appearance. It is a more robust plant, with larger rosettes – which in my plant grow to about 5 inches across, with broadly triangular leaves arranged in a pinwheel-like rosette. The leaves bear series of distinctive, pronounced ridges, which accounts for both its common name Fairies Washboard and its proper name Haworthia limifolia, with limifolia translating into file leafed.
Well-drained soil, such as a combination of soil and fine sand is the best choice for this one. Allow it to dry out before re-watering. Use a shallow pot. Provide bright light beside a windowsill. Don’t keep it entirely in the shade. Water the plant once a week.
